Nintendo made a delightful live-action music video starring Super Mario

Nintendo has revealed a new trailer in the style of a Broadway musical for its upcoming Switch game Super Mario Odyssey.

It's for the song 'Jump Up, Super Star!' that has already been released and has been in some of the trailers - an outrageously catchy tune.

Mario rushes through the New Donk City festival, meeting person after person, keeping a smile on his face all the way through.

Unlike past Super Mario Odyssey trailers, which focused on gameplay footage and adorable transformations that Mario could perform with the help of his hat Cappy, this one brings Mario into the real world. We get a little montage too, this one is of Mario traveling through all the locations that we've seen so far. All of these games were exclusive to Nintendo platforms so Mario Odyssey appears to continue the streak. And yes, it's a goofy send-up of the game's New Donk City level, which features human characters alongside the diminutive heroic plumber.

With two weeks to go until Super Mario Odyssey launches worldwide, EDGE has become the first publication to review the moustachioed hero's globetrotting adventure.

This trailer also does a great job in showing how Mario's feats amaze the people around him, as everyone smiles in Mario's wake.
