Tottenham boosted as Danny Rose and Erik Lamela return to training

But the duo are continuing their comeback bids and Tottenham took to social media to post photographs of the pair in first team training.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose wants to join Manchester United and will reject interest from Chelsea to move to Old Trafford, according to reports.

Though, a knee injury ended his season in January and has had to sit on the sidelines since then.

Rose penned his latest deal with the north London club back in September 2016 and a departure from Spurs seemed unlikely as he excelled in the first half of last season. Spurs will not want to lose Rose, but they have a ready-made replacement in Ben Davies, who is only a notch or two below the England global in an attacking sense, and offers greater reliability in defence.

Lamela, 25, has suffered problems with both hips and was not named in Tottenham's squad for the group stages of the Champions League.

The Argentine's long-standing problem has caused massive issues and several setbacks, something which he has tried to mend.

Lamela has not played for Tottenham for nearly a year because of hip problems and even spent time at former club Roma as he attempted to overcome his injuries before undergoing surgery.

Danny Rose and @ErikLamela train with the rest of the team at Hotspur Way today as they continue to progress with their rehabilitation.

This comes after the player claimed the club lacked ambition during the summer transfer window, which he was later fined for.
