We also see Demi and the people around her discuss how quickly she became an global superstar, and how the pressure of being a role model at a young age was just too much.

The star reveals near the end of the trailer "I'm coming up on five and a half years of sobriety".

Hot off the release of her sixth album, Tell Me You Love Me, Demi Lovato is opening her heart to fans again in an upcoming YouTube-exclusive documentary, Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated. Lovato has gone on record saying that the new documentary will address her sexuality, which is subject fans have speculated on in the past.

'I don't know what everyone's going to think. "I'm on a journey to discover what it's like to be free of all demons", she elaborates. "And that's the best I can do".

As they watch scenes with Lovato and Jonas, who played love interests in the Disney film, Lovato's friend Matthew Scott asks, "Did you have a crush on him, like, this whole time?" to which Lovato responds, "Oh, yeah". But I don't owe anybody anything.' She wrote. "And when I feel sexy, watch out". Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated premieres on YouTube on October 18!
