HMD Global's Nokia 9 gets leaked in new render

It seems that the Nokia 8 isn't yet Nokia and HMD's premium race horse, at least not as far as looks go.

According to their sources, the Nokia 9 will have a 5.5-inch quad HD AMOLED display. Among these, the Nokia 9 is believed to be a flagship smafrtphone that will have high-end features and specifications. The new renders don't actually show how thin the bezels are on the handset, since Compareraja and Hemmerstoffer don't actually have information on the display's outline.

The renders are based on CAD files of the Nokia phone which means that the design can change.

Nestled in the extremely shiny rear panel of the Nokia 9 is a vertically-arranged dual-lens camera, which appears to protrude quite a bit. The Nokia 9 is speculated to have 4GB of RAM and may have 64GB and 128GB storage options. The placement of the dual cameras on the Nokia 9 are a bit peculiar.

Right beneath the cameras is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which should be a relief for many who aren't fans of any facial recognition technology.

Speaking more about the design of the Nokia 9, it looks like the company will be ditching the 3.5mm audio port after all, and shifting to USB Type-C for earphones. That brings us one step closer to the untimely death of the 3.5mm audio jack, and we still don't understand why this trend is catching on.

HMD Global is expected to launch the next-generation Nokia 9 smartphone soon.

As for the release, rumours have it that HMD Global will launch all the three new Android phones at the MWC 2018, which is scheduled to take place between 26 February and 1 March in Barcelona. It is expected to come preinstalled with Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone is said to come with a bigger 5.7-inch display that will be nearly be almost bezel-less.
