Jets don't want to hear about Patriots' problems

Statistically, the Patriots have the worst defense in the league. New England has lost two games and could have very easily lost two more, while the Jets have won three in a row, which, in and of itself, is a small miracle. Brady is still performing as if he's a spry youngster.

The 40-year-old Brady is arguably the best quarterback in National Football League history, winning five Super Bowls while playing for only the New England Patriots since he was drafted in the sixth round out of MI in 2000.

"We've had a hard time down there, played a couple of overtime games, got beat two years ago", Belichick said.

For the Jets, running back Bilal Powell (calf) and defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder, toe) sat out practice.

"Never count Tom Brady out", McLendon said.

Your next win came against the Jaguars, who are actually in first place in the AFC South at 3-2.

But when that player is 40 years old, the hits are certainly more concerning. "We've been in some competitive games, and we're going keep fighting. In my opinion, probably rightfully so". Oh, and Jay Cutler has the third-worst passer rating this season among anyone with 100 or more pass attempts, ahead of Joe Flacco and DeShone Kizer (more on him in just a bit).

"I think we're all trying to get on the same page", he said. "But my focus will be on doing the best I can to move the football against their defense".

Yes, the injury is to Brady's non-throwing shoulder, but that doesn't mean it isn't going to affect the way he plays. He hasn't missed a game due to injury since 2008, a streak we expect to continue Sunday in the Meadowlands. "I'm not concerned", he said.

While Brady's passing numbers have been sound, he's getting sacked a high rate. In the three wins this season, the Jets are allowing just over 12 points per game. He's having one of the best years he's ever had. Williams led the Jets last year with seven sacks, but he has not recorded a sack this year yet.

Speaking of prognosticators, the same folks who were prone to hyperbole regarding the dire prospects for the Jets were equally delusional about the Patriots, as some predicted another undefeated regular season for Brady and Belichick.

The New England Patriots picked up a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5 on Thursday Night Victory.

As most remember, NY stunned New England, 30-27, on a warm October afternoon in overtime behind a strong running game and an opportunistic defense. But defensive coordinator Matt Patricia likes the way his unit is trending, beginning with the way it responded under pressure last week.

As good as the Jets are the moment, "there's that lingering thought around the league that says, 'Yeah, but they're still the Jets, '" Adam Kurkjian of the Boston Herald says.

And the Jets, like the Italian Stallion, know what it's like to be an underdog - it took the Browns for Todd Bowles's team to be a two-point favorite, and not only did they won straight-up, but also covered the spread.

McGuire, a sixth-rounder from Louisiana-Lafayette, is second on the team with 176 yards rushing and a TD.

Jones has just five catches for 66 receiving yards despite seeing over 20 targets and he has four drops. Forte has missed the last two games with turf toe.
