Early voting begins for upcoming Nov.7 general election

As for who's running in the general election, the big race is for New York City mayor: Bill de Blasio is running against Republican challenger Nicole Malliotakis, with several third-party candidates-including Independent Bo Dietl and the Green Party's Akeem Browder-also on the ballot.

That election had a heavy turnout and included balloting for U.S. President and vice president.

The Muskingum County Board of Elections is open through 8:00 5:00 P.M. until, 2017.

Those with a valid ID from the state DMV must register online by no later than October 13 for eligibility to vote in the November 7 general election, according to the Board of Elections. Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Oct.16.

The board will also accommodate absentee voting from 4:30 to 7 the Rath Building lobby on those days. - Friday. and 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday.

If you make a mistake or want a replacement ballot, you can go to any one of the county's four voter service centers.
