Early voting begins for upcoming Nov.7 general election

As for who's running in the general election, the big race is for New York City mayor: Bill de Blasio is running against Republican challenger Nicole Malliotakis, with several third-party candidates-including Independent Bo Dietl and the Green Party's Akeem Browder-also on the ballot.

That election had a heavy turnout and included balloting for U.S. President and vice president.

The Muskingum County Board of Elections is open through 8:00 A.M.to 5:00 P.M. until, 2017.

Those with a valid ID from the state DMV must register online by no later than October 13 for eligibility to vote in the November 7 general election, according to the Board of Elections. Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Oct.16.

The board will also accommodate absentee voting from 4:30 to 7 p.m.in the Rath Building lobby on those days. - Friday. and 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday.

If you make a mistake or want a replacement ballot, you can go to any one of the county's four voter service centers.

Every signature will be compared to the voter's registration record, to ensure the correct person has marked the ballot.
