Flight 666 makes last flight to HEL Friday the 13th

While there are several theories surrounding the day, a group of people who consider it be a superstition is doing the most unexpected.

Those prone to have a superstitious mind, and perhaps a nervousness to flying, will be relieved to know that the last Flight 666 into HEL on a Friday 13th will take place today.

A spokesperson for Finnair told The Independent that the number has not been changed due to superstitious passengers.

Sadly, per Finnair, such a trip won't happen again because the airline's flight data is being reordered at the end of the month, and the flight will be renumbered as 954.

But Finnair's flight AY666 to HEL, which ferries passengers from from Copenhagen, Denmark to Helsinki in Finland, has been going strong for more than a decade.

'In 11 years, we've flown 21 times the AY666 flight to HEL on Friday the 13.

"It has been quite a joke among the pilots", he has said, The Telegraph reported.

It will depart from Denmark at 1.20pm and is scheduled to arrive shortly before 4pm.

A specific fear of Friday the 13th is called Paraskevidekatriaphobia, which derives from the from the Greek word paraskeví meaning Friday, and dekatria meaning thirteen. It is called the "number of the Beast" in Chapter 13 of the Book of Revelation in the New Testament of the Bible.
