Foggy morning and cloudy afternoon with cool temperatures

Behind the cold front we'll have more fall like weather early next week. This front will move southward into western Mass by late Sunday and Monday with showers and cooler temps to follow behind it. We'll have partly cloudy skies as well with a light breeze out of the southeast.

It should be partly cloudy and warm Friday and Saturday. Skies will stay cloudy and we'll have a few sprinkles during the day. For the weekend, our forecast remains on track: dry both days... Highs will be in the 60s to near 70 degrees. The shower activity will end late tonight as temperatures drop into the 40s and lower 50s.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies and cool temperatures continue, with a high of 66 degrees. Sunshine with a few fair weather clouds Monday through Friday and highs in the middle 70s all week long! High temperatures will range from the lower to mid 80s. However, the humidity will start to rise, so it will feel very warm. Southerly winds will increase temperatures into the upper 70s for Friday. 60 will likely break into some sun during the afternoon. We will only get to the low to mid 70s with rain chances only at 40%. The record is 84 and highs are expected to soar into the lower 80s.

After dropping more than an inch of rain in spots, the low pressure center is about to call it quits with us.

Cooler and much drier air will overspread the region Monday night and Tuesday.
